Cheryl Renée Live with Them Bones (2008)

Now, have you ever seen a performer of this caliber? Sure, in the past there has been a pretty nice collection of Blues divas, but Cheryl is an unique “Goddess of the Blues”.
Live with Them Bones shows Cheryl in her natural element: the stage. The band sounds tight and groovy, and Cheryl is in charge. A powerful voice with a masterful Blues feeling and an heritage of Blues generations behind it. And Cheryl is equally adept on piano and organ, backing up her amazing vocals with both traditional and modern Blues styles, inserting her own licks now and then. A true personal approach, like many masters before her.
Cheryl Renée Live with Them Bones is a must buy and listen, and I hope we can see Cheryl live in Europe one of these days.

Dirty Harry

Uh uh. I know what you're thinking. "Did he fire six shots or only five?"

Well, to tell you the truth in all this excitement I kinda lost track myself.

But being this is a .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world, that would blow your head clean off, you've gotta ask yourself one question:

"Do I feel lucky?"

Well, do ya, punk?

Right, I'm Dirty Harry and this is the first post of Another Blues is Knocking.
In all this excitement, I forgot to tell you that the punk mentioned above got the Blues instantly. And that's what we do here, me and Mr. Leen Velthuis, we make sure all you punks get the Blues. How?

Promoting all things Blues, independent or unknown artists in particular, by means of reviews, interviews, articles, and all about Blues in general.

Another Blues is Knocking is also an extension of the radio show with the same name, hosted by the incomparable DJ Leen Velthuis on Friendtastic Radio, in The Netherlands. So you punks can hear it there and read about it here.

Lets get some Blues
